How do we identify the genetic alterations that make it possible to consider a targeted therapy, if it exists? Pr Hélène Blons, Molecular Biologist at the Georges-Pompidou European Hospital in Paris (AP-HP), explains the role of molecular typing of tumors in personalized medicine. This typing makes it possible to make a therapeutic choice based on the identification of genetic alterations in the tumors and thus to determine the best possible care for each patient.
